Hi, my name is Laura and I started my first Beauty Therapy Business in Dolgellau 15 years ago. I have had time out of work while having three children, but I'm now back and have opened a new Laser Clinic at our home farm Bryn Rhug.

I specialise in Laser Hair Removal and Skin. I offer specific Red Vein and Pigmentation removal, and also Skin rejuvenation treatment with or without the use of Laser in facials.
I am passionate about skin, this is the reason I branched out into Laser from my Beauty Therapy roots.

I am also an Aromatherapist and Holistic Therapist.
I blend pure aromatherapy essential oils specifically for you personal needs and incorporate ancient meridian pressure point therapy into the facial massage.

TREATMENTS
Laser Hair Removal
​
Our laser is a Cynosure® Elite+™ is one of the most advanced lasers on the market today for hair removal and is very effective for permanent removal on larger body areas as well as the smallest areas due to its range of sizes.
​
It is a combination Nd:YAG and Alexandrite system where the laser beam passes through the skin targeting the hair follicle and with the intense heat of this procedure damages the follicle, and destroys the root of the hair, immediately removing the hair shaft.
​
This leaves clearer smoother skin, and prevents further growth, and no injury to the surrounding tissue.
​
The hair growth cycle has three phases.
Anagen, Catagen, Telogen.
​
The Anagen stage is the active growth phase.
At this point the hair bulb is intact, and closest to the skin surface so this is when laser hair removal is most effective.
​
Repeat treatments will be recommended approximately every 4-8 weeks dependent on the treatment site. Courses vary by the individual from 5 - 10 sessions

After Care
​
After treatment, there may be redness and raised follicles at the treatment site, which can last up to 24 to 48 hours.
This is quite normal for the treated area and it can feel like sunburn during this time. To ease apply cold packs or Aloe Vera gel.
Shedding of the hair may occur up to 14 days after treatment and this can appear as new hair growth. Don't be alarmed it is not new growth, but dead hair pushing its way out of the follicle.
Exfoliate by washing or wiping with a washcloth.
Do not wax, pluck or epilate in between.
Shave only pre treatment.

Laser Facial

The Cynosure Elite laser can also be used with highly specific protocols to eliminate
unsightly spider veins, cherry angioma, sun damage or pigmentation problems.
​
A small beam of light is selectively aimed at the target vessel which is coagulated and destroyed by the heat of the laser.
Our cooling system is used to maximize comfort and prevent any damage to the epidermis.
With enough time in between treatments and an individually designed removal plan, we are able to completely remove most
spider veins and pigmentation with minimal discomfort and no risk of scarring.
After Care
​
Following thread vein removal or pigmentation treatments, mild to moderate scabbing can cover the treated area.
This is a quiet normal part of the healing process, and will naturally shed within a couple of weeks.
To aid this, Aloe Vera can be applied or an antibiotic ointment if necessary.
It is imperative you do not pick these healing scabs as this can lead to permanent scarring or infection.
